Where it all began for me?

My journey to Ayurveda began with a personal healing and spiritual transformation experience. In fact, when we met, it was Love from the First Sight and it has had a profound impact on every aspect of my life ever since – physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.

When did all begin?

I am a former investment banker with over a decade of investment banking experience spanning across the globe, including New York, London and Moscow. I have worked on many high-profile multi-billion transactions in the European and US markets with large corporate and financial institutions. A dynamic, exciting, yet depleting, investment banking career has been highly enriching for me at the personal level however it has also come at a great expense. It has eventually drained down my health. In 2010, I had to take a medical leave and travelled to Indus Valley (“IVAC”), an Ayurvedic center near Mysore, India to undergo a restorative panchakarma treatment. Compassionate doctors, nurturing hands of Ayurvedic therapists and revitalizing scents and tastes of Aurvedic cooking brought me back to life. But it also showed me an alternative way to live my life. Inspired by IVAC’s rich ayurvedic library and enlightening conversations about the powerful philosophy of Ayurvedic medicine with IVAC’s founder, Dr. Talavane Krishna, at the settings of IVAC’s beautiful vastu gardens, I decided to embark on my lifelong learning passion of Ayurveda. However, it was not until 2017 when I decided to turn my passion into my new profession by enrolling into Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor program with the Kerala Ayurveda Academy. Part of it was driven by my long-standing passion but part of it was unfortunately due to deteriorating health of some of my family members. I was very excited to learn the wisdom and practical application of the ancient science of healing. It made me feel empowered when confronting various health issues of my close ones. It has been paying off ever since!
